We bought a new car on Friday. It’s a bright red Honda Fit–a teeny tiny hatchback with great gas mileage. BD proclaimed it “so dorky it’s kind of cool.” In true tween fashion, that opinion lasted about half an hour. This morning she begged me to take her to school in my minivan instead so she wouldn’t be seen in it. But Mr. B and I still like it.
The poor timing? This morning I’ve been working on our household budget for next year. Looks like Mr. B will be packing his lunch, and it’s probably going to be peanut butter and jelly most of the time.

I hear ya on the PB&J. I’m hoping my hubby gives himself a raise next year! I love the new car…it’s “cute” (dare I say that?!)
I think it’s cute too!!
I was afraid you were going to say that the snow and ice storms came in and someone came along and broad-sided you! Oh! This is bad, but I guess not as bad as that.
I want a new little car with far better gas mileage, but we are waiting for that better time as you demonstrate… *sigh*
I have a Trailblazer and it loves gas! My daughter is 11 and everything we do is embarassing to her!!
So dorky it’s kind of cool? And bright red to boot? LOVE it!
