Readers with excellent memories and too much interest in other people’s lives may remember that we were a little late getting our Christmas tree last year.
This year we’re doing better. We bought the tree on Saturday. True to form, we left it outside for a day or two. Since it kept raining, Mr. B finally put it in the garage so it could dry off before we brought it inside.
Then he left town.
Yesterday afternoon, I carried the tree into the living room and put it in the stand. All by myself. Granted, it’s not a huge tree, but it’s a good six feet tall. It had been baled in a net, which made the carrying much easier, but cutting the net and untangling it from the tree was harder than putting up the thing in the first place.
Speaking of untangling, I thought about putting on the lights before Mr. B got home last night, then realized that I wouldn’t want him to feel that I’m excluding him from the tree festivities, so I saved that job for him.
Who am I kidding? I’ll be putting them on because I want them on MY way. Take it from me, life as a control freak is not always easy.

YYG getting that tree in the house! I let the hubby do that part, but the rest is up to me, lights, decorations, the star/angle topper…all me!
Maybe it would’ve been easier to put decorations on if you’d left it baled in the net? LOL
I would love to get a real tree, however, my allergies don’t allow it.
