As you may recall, I had to switch doctors last year due to an insurance change.
Several months later, my new doctor closed up shop and moved out of town. Her parting letter assured patients that a replacement was on the way.
The replacement apparently got a better offer, because she never materialized.
So here I am, back in the market for a new doctor. One who takes my insurance. Who’s a woman (I’m funny that way). Who isn’t way across town or right near the hospitals where the traffic will guarantee a high blood pressure reading by the time you get there. Who’s in practice with at least a couple of other doctors who can cover if she’s out of town or booked up when I’m sick.
My first approach was to ask friends for referrals. No luck. So I went to the Internet, and after a fair amount of research I thought I had found the perfect practice. Several female doctors, located conveniently close the area where I do most of my shopping.
Then I called the office and had to add a new criteria to my list. “With an office that lets you get through to a live person in a reasonable length of time when you call.”
So I continued the online search. And found that the doctor I went to originally now takes my insurance. Search concluded.

Well, what a waste of time for you! Glad you’re getting your former doctor back and all is well in insurance world!
I’m finding the whole medical thing absolutely ridiculous. From insurance to doctors. I’m just plain tired of it all. I’m just not going to get sick anymore. I give up.
Seriously? I’m tired of having to search for new doctors and dentists. *hmph*
