Change of Seasons

I can’t claim to be a huge NFL fan. Oh sure, I watch a fair number of regular season games, and have become an Indianapolis Colts fan in the past few years (Cincinnati is actually closer, but I find it hard to get excited about the Bungles).

But I really get into it during the playoffs. And when the team I’m rooting for wins the Super Bowl (as the Giants did this year), I find it hard to let go. I guess I don’t want to come down from the high that winning gives me, even though I have done absolutely nothing to earn that win.

The Pro Bowl does nothing for me. Most years I forget to watch it. The other years I choose not to. This year was a little bit of both.

Good thing the college basketball season is heating up. For instance, U of L’s upset of Georgetown last night took my mind completely off pigskins. And if you didn’t catch Rick Pitino’s white suit, it’s worth a look, even though he changed out of it at halftime.

I just can’t get into basketball! But I did read the article on Rick Pitino and the fact that he was sweating through his suit was pretty hilarious!
