I’m not usually up this early, but today I’ve been awake since 5:38 AM.
That’s when the earthquake woke us up. I’ll take credit for identifying it as such, while Mr. B jokingly guessed that a gigantic squirrel had run across the roof. For a second I thought it was the wind (after all, this is tornado country, not California). We’ve only experienced one earthquake before, back when we lived in NJ. That one just felt like someone had walked across our floor and it was a couple of hours before we realized what it was. This one was much stronger. Personally, I’ll be happy if I never feel another one.
No damage at our house, but it’s good to know that we carry an earthquake rider on our insurance.

Oh, but I much prefer the idea of the giant squirrel!
Glad everything’s ok though, even if you are up earlier than usual!

I heard about that on MPR this morning. Amazing… Glad you’re okay. And you have an insurance rider? Did you ever think you’d need it???
