Wishful Thinking

Apparently, that was my state of mind when I so glibly announced that I don’t have “carpool tunnel syndrome.”

The doctor I saw that day referred me to a more senior doctor in the group. As in someone who can always get the senior coffee at McDonald’s. The guy graduated from college two years before I was born.

But he is nationally renowned in hand and shoulder nerve issues. In fact, he must be three times as good as the first doctor, because he gave me three diagnoses; in addition to the thoracic outlet syndrome, I have carpal tunnel syndrome plus bursitis in my shoulder.

I started physical therapy on Monday. I only screamed in pain once.

Ouch! Well, that stinks. I hope it gets to the point where the PT feels good. I had tennis elbow years ago & got so I looked forward to the warm ultrasound thingy.

Should I send you photos of my scars from my carpal tunnel surgery?

Did they do the electrical shock diagnostic test? Worst thing you can do in a doctor’s office with (most of) your clothes on, trust me.
