It May Have Been a Freudian Slip

I have a wonderful mother-in-law, and I am hoping to be the same to my future DIL (henceforth known as LDIL, for “Lovely Daughter-in-law”).

So, shortly after she and HS announced their engagement, I wrote her a letter welcoming her to the family. I used some lovely stationery that a friend have given me sometime ago. It was personalized with my name, printed on very pretty paper with some pastel flowers.

I was saving it for a Very Special Occasion, and this seemed to fit the bill.

Well, HS and LDIL came to visit yesterday. She thanked me for the note.

Then she told me that one of her friends had taken a very close look at the notepaper and noticed something that LDIL and I had both missed. Along that green vine connecting the flowers is a little poem.

Since you probably can’t read it in the picture, I’ll share it with you:

“Tiny hands, tiny feet, tiny little baby, cute and sweet.”

What a hoot! Can I borrow a piece of that stationary to send Bryan and Abby a note?

I hope that LDIL has a good sense of humor! This one made me laugh out loud literally.
