It was bad enough when I learned that one of BD’s current teachers had gone to high school with HS. At least she was two years ahead of him in school.
Then I got to chatting with teacher who helps coach BD’s field hockey team. She, too, knows HS.

We attended a wedding this evening. The bride has been a friend of HS since kindergarten. In fact, this is the first time we’ve attended the wedding of one his friends.

When the phone rang this morning a little before 8, I was pretty sure it must be BD calling from school. I couldn’t be sure, because I was in the basement, and the phone there doesn’t have caller ID.

I have never had a sense of style. I like clothes that are comfortable and inexpensive. Dressing up means putting on my black jeans and a sweater instead of my blue jeans and a sweatshirt.
Since I usually work either at my boss’s home or my own, work clothes are not a priority. [...]
